I'm fairly new to machine embroidery, so take this with a grain of salt. Overall, I am pleased with this embroidery stabilizer. However, my first thought upon feeling this is that it's a light weight stabilizer. The package claims medium weight. I probably wouldn't use it on thin fabrics unless I double it up. I tested it on quilting cotton and it worked fine as a single layer for quilting cotton.As promised, I was surprised how easily it dissolved in cold water! Which is great in a lot of ways, but I tried to use it on a weirdly humid day and it's already thin nature didn't take to the humidity well. That being said, as long as it isn't too humid, it's actual tougher than it looks.

Place the stabilizer on top of your material to embroider the design and to make sure stitches don’t sink into material. The tube is shipped packed in black plastic bag to avoid damage during shipping. My embroidery designs are small so this 12x25 will last quite a while. I hand embroidered without the stabilizer becoming sticky nor was there an issue when machine embroidering. When washing away the stabilizer I did not encounter any issues, it cleanly washed away with no residue. This is a quality product when used per instructions.

This product performs as advertised. It was easy to use and washes away in seconds. I did some experimentation with free motion embroidery on fleece, and was pleased to see that the thread was still visible on the top side of the fabric after washing the stabilizer away! And this was with very little thread usage, so I’m reassured that a heavier application will really pop. Bonus points for being acid-free, which is of great value to me as a fiber artist.

This comes with a reasonably sizable roll of embroidery stabilizer. For any type of machine embroidery this type of material is necessary in order to get consistent results. It disappear to be a different brand then it was originally mentioned, but I don't see any problem with that since it's still works the same.

This is a nice product. My previous roll of topper was much lighter and thinner and would have put you in mind of plastic wrap. This roll is what they called “medium weight” so it’s more substantial and it has a textured surface. It’s still thin enough that it’s easy to handle and manipulate and I found the medium weight easier to hoop. I think that’s because it’s less likely to slip around and fold over on itself while you’re trying to place it. Despite the textured surface it’s still clear enough to see through. I expected it to take more water and longer exposure to the water to dissolve it, but it dissolved and faded away very quickly and easily.

Yes it does wash away very quickly without leaving any residue on your lace. I make a lot of free standing lace on my machine so I can go through a roll quickly. This stabilizer is able to handle making lace with a heavy thread count. It’s also very good for embroidery details on plushies because it prevents the fur from pulling up through your design. You get a nice sized roll so it’s a good deal.

Wash Away Embroidery Stabilizer12 inches x 25 yardsThis comes in a roll. Once opened there's no protection and it can unroll if you aren't paying attention to where you sat it. I would've secured some sort of storage solution before opening the roll, had I thought about it. I'm so used to using precut sheets, that it never crossed my mind.This stabilizer cuts well. It can be hooped without a problem too. I always leave more overhang than I need, just to be safe. Then the access can be trimmed away once properly secured in the hoop. So far, I've only used this on blank kitchen and hand towels. It's worked really well with minimal issues. I say that for the learning curve of getting to know a new product. I had to practice a few times to get the right results. But this stabilizer itself is perfect in my opinion.It doesn't even take that much water to remove it. You can wash your project in the washing machine. You can rinse it by hand. You can even spot touch with a wet rag if you wanted to. There's no sticky residue left behind no matter what method you use. And while this washes away easily, it's strong enough to complete intricate designs with my embroidery machine. I have a single needle where I have to stop and change colors. I haven't had any issues starting again after a thread change.Overall, this is a quality product. It's easy to use and you get a lot for your money. With 25 yards of stabilizer this roll is so much larger than the precuts I'm used to. I do recommend this water-soluble embroidery stabilizer. Although I would've liked packaging that was resealable or protective once opened. But that doesn't take away from the actual product.

I absolutely love this Water Soluble Stabilizer. I’ve tried so many different brands over the years, and this one stands out as the best by far. It doesn’t have that plastic feel that some stabilizers do—it’s soft, easy to work with, and gives a clean, professional finish every time. It washes away completely with no residue left behind. I’ve used it both as a topper and as a base (in place of tear-away stabilizer), and it performs beautifully in both roles. The size is perfect for my 5x7 hoop. For reference, I use a Brother SE1900 single-needle embroidery machine. If embroidery is part of your craft routine, this WSS is a must-have. Highly recommend!

The Richword wash away stabilizer is really fun to work with. It's very lightweight and easy to hoop into place. When I've tried topstitching decorative borders on the cuffs and hems of fleece jackets, the design either looked a bit off or got lost in the thickness of the fabric. I'm still at the experimental stage and testing different fabrics like fleece, velour and velvet. I'm using the Richword wash away as the topper with different backings - cut away, tear away and double thickness wash away. The layers are pinned together rather than hooping. I considered using 505 Spray and Fix until I saw the price - $24. Pinning is just fine for now. Also using a walking foot on my Janome 7000 while trying out different topstitching design borders. I love the results.So, I really like working with the Richword wash away stabilizer. It's easy to pin the layers together with the topper stabilizer not puckering. The price has gone up a bit since Black Friday. I got a couple of great deals on Richword products over Thanksgiving weekend. Hoping to see more deals after Christmas.NOTE: The Richword stabilizer comes wrapped in cellophane. It needs to be protected from light, heat and humidity to prevent degradation over time. I wrapped it up in the black mailer it came in and then put it inside a Hefty slider jumbo 2.5 gallon bag and rolled it up. The width of the bag is the same as the roll of stabilizer.

Great new brand of stabilizer for embroidery projects. Good price for the amount that you get and the quality. It works well with my PooLin machine. Having washable stabilizer is a great option when you don't want to use the tear-away stabilizer.It melts fairly easily, you just need a little patience. It's very easy to fit it into the embroidery hoop and start the machine, just don't forget the anchro8ng stitches in the corners or the border.

I've been extremely pleased with this washaway embroidery stabilizer which I primarily use for embroidery projects. It is sturdy enough to hold up to the hooping and pull during stitching without tearing. It gives my stitching the foundation it needs without shifting or tearing and prevents stitches from sinking. It works well on textured fabrics like fleece, velvet and terry cloth because of the thickness of the stabilizer. The designs stay on top so they look more well-defined instead of getting lost in the material. ​ It washes away cleanly with warm water leaving no stiffness or residue behind. It's a little pricey but you get a large roll that will last for a long time. It comes with an instruction sheet that is very thorough with easy to follow directions.

I'm very pleased with this stabilizer. It works very well. The roll is the listed size and dimension. It's easy to cut into any size and shape you need and it should last me for a LONG time given that I usually work on fairly small pieces. I have used this for both machine and hand embroidery so far. It works GREAT for both, but I could see an issue if you have sweaty hands, etc. It provided exactly what I needed in terms of stability on thin/stretchy fabrics. And it washed away without any residue or other issues. I am VERY pleased with this stabilizer and I'll probably end up getting more when this runs out.

I ordered this for my brother, who is really into machine embroidery. He’s used it on several projects and has been very pleased with the results. The wife creates embroidery free standing lace snowflakes, angels, etc and uses this wash away material. Whenever I see this, I always pick it up for her. She goes through a lot of this topping. It melts away quickly but really strong during the embroidery process. Great value and would recommend.

This stabilizer or backing works very well to keep fabrics in place for machine embroidery and appliqué. I used this to machine stitch a couple of patches onto pants. It was actually more substantial than the embroidery backing that I used to purchase by the yard. After soaking the area and tearing away the edges, not a trace of the stabilizer remains. There’ so much of this in the package, it’s a great value.
